Understanding how Skymax maintains network quality for all users.
All Skymax residential plans have no data caps, no FUP throttling, and no speed reduction after any usage threshold. This policy simply outlines acceptable use boundaries to protect all our users.
Our plans carry no data caps and no throttling triggers. You can use 1 TB or 10 TB per month — your speed remains the same. This is our core commitment and what differentiates us from ISPs that advertise unlimited but throttle after a threshold.
While data is unlimited, the following activities are prohibited as they degrade the network for others: running commercial-grade servers on residential plans, sustained P2P seeding exceeding 100 Mbps for more than 6 consecutive hours, cryptocurrency mining using our network, botnet activity, DDoS attacks, spam transmission, and accessing or distributing illegal content as defined under the IT Act 2000.
During rare periods of exceptional network congestion (affecting less than 0.1% of time), Skymax may temporarily prioritize interactive traffic (web browsing, video calls) over background traffic (automated backups, torrents). This is purely a technical QoS measure and does not constitute throttling. Speeds recover immediately when congestion clears.
Residential plans are for personal household use. Running an ISP sub-network, WiFi hotspots for commercial resale, or large-scale server farms requires a Business or Reseller plan. Unauthorized commercial use may result in plan upgrade enforcement or suspension.
If unusual usage patterns are detected, we will notify you via SMS/email before taking any action. First notice is educational. Second notice may result in temporary speed reduction. Repeated violations of prohibited activities may result in suspension.
